Media Players Temporary fix for the Cinavia problem

A temporary fix for the Cinavia problem I discovered with my DVD player is that when the Cinavia comes up (usually after about 20 minutes of play time) … do a pause and stop. Power down and turn off the player! Turn the power back on and continue playing your movie at the point you left off for another 20 minutes until the Cinavia comes up again and repeat until you’re finished! I tried this last night and after 5 power downs (short annoyances) – I watched the entire movie.

are you playing the movie by disc or media player??
as far as i know VCR/DVD combo players are not infected with cinavia.
and media players are immune to cinavia.

just put your movies on a media player of some kind
and never have to worry about cinavia again.

just buy an older dvd player, one that doesn't have internet connection.
the same can be said for some bluray players.

                          Out of interest...

Have you tried backing-up your Cinavia disc's to .mkv contained files, loading them onto an external HDD and playing them via your Sony's USB port?

                          Cheers

                            Thanks SeeMoreDigital,

That would be something I would like to try to do but I don't know how to do that (backing-up ... to .mkv contained files ... and then transfer it to USB) ?? Any help on doing this would be very appreciated.
