since when is letting someone "borrow" my movie that i rightfully own a copyright law? if i can back up my own movie, archive it, and burn it. whats the difference in letting someone borrow my hard copy, or a duplicate? i see no difference.

Some country's have a "Fair Use" law which allows creating 1 backup copy for personal use which is to never be loaned, sold or the such but is only for personal use only. (This isn't an exact quote of the law, it vary's from place to place)
This site does follow those laws and in which case we don't allow mentioning of loaning copyrighted material or knowingly provide support of those that do not follow their local laws.
