I always use the -r and have no problems burning at 12x

I use DVD+R DL VERBATIM 2.4X (made in singapore)

For all the Canadian viewers I get them at Blank Media.ca for $28.95 + shipping. Very Nice media. No coasters.

So far so good. Fine Media. Only problems encountered were due to Fab creating disks that won't play on my LG BD390, but hopefully that's fixed in 7.0.2.6 Beta. Using ImgBurn, and all disks get burned fine.
