Err, why is update DVDFab 8.0.5.6 messing up?

When I go to update, it opens Windows media player and then fails to work. Any ideas? Thanks!

can you give more details as to how you are updating. If you are downloading from link below then save to computer and then double click the saved download to install. Windows Media Player should not be opening at all when you update DVDFab so you may want to run a virus scan

I pressed the check now button in the DVD Fab common settings general tab.

Well unfortuneately I have the latest installed so not able to try that but have never heard of that happening. Did you have a DVD in your drive as that may have triggered your autoplay
