    Question about rip speed

    Hi everyone,
I had one question: the RIP speed of an DVD disc on what hardware device is it depends on? How can I make a very fast rip? is it on your hard disk or memory from your PC or your CPU speed...

for example i want to rip a bluray disc to an dvd and i want the fastest way to make that rip... what kind of hardware is controling that speed???

    Thanks

Well, to start out with, DO NOT compress from the disk to the hard drive. Always rip the full disk with no compression to hard drive first, then select the ripped folder as source and another internal hard drive as target(if available), otherwise an external hard drive or the same one are fine as well, just might take longer, and then compress in that step. If you want faster rips(with no compression), you should look into flashing your BD drive with a speed-patched firmware(if available). Then when compressing, your processor and video card play the most part in this.
