When I drag an ISO or folder where it tells me to, it momentarily flashes on the screen 'Opening DVD' with the progress bar getting about 1/6 the way across then appears to abort. Same behavior when I choose a source ISO using the cd-looking button on the top line.
If I put a dvd in the physical drive, it loads up ready to copy no problem.
I've got lifetime DVD to DVD, want to evaluate DVD Ripper for copying to iPad.

Edit: nevermind, this is some kind of permissions problem. I couldn't mount ISOs as virtual drives either on this user account. On a different user account, mounting virtual drives and opening ISOs with DVD Fab worked. Sorry to bother the forum with a PC problem.
