    DVD Failed

I'm having problems burning DVD's lately. Although I have no problems burning Blu-Ray Movies, when burning DVD's the Movie is Analyzed and Written but when burning to a blank DVD...2 - 1min to completion of the burning the Computer will Eject the DVD and the "DVD Failed" will appear on the screen. I've tried three different Movies all with the same results. Please help me resolve this problem.

CMC MAG. AM3 = crap media. Sorry, it is what it is.
Please switch to either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim...be certain the AZO Dye logo is displayed on the verbatim spindle wrapper.

You're burning way too fast, especially with this media.
            Try 8X.

To optimize your chances of sucess with the CMC media (I still recommend dumping this stuff ASAP)...
switch to Img (freeware) as your burn engine.
You'll have to install it, then it'll be selectable within Fab as the default burn engine.

A firmware update for your burner may improve your chances with the CMC media, but I'm pretty sure you know my thoughts on it...

Regardless, don't try to burn the CMC media any faster than 8X

              Hi cwellssr
Along with the excellent advise given by regnad kcin, you will find how to install and set up ImgBurn here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=33 remember to set up the AWS in ImgBurn and set it to burn at 1/2 the rated speed of the disc that you are using.
The error that you were getting 18:53:17: Task_2 failed! Error=122

122 HWS_FAILED_CALIBRATING 22 // Write failed at the beginning of the media (often a media that is poorly supported by the drive)

Also please try using the newest version of Fab found here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=11865
Give this a try and post back
