What is the best device for 1080p 5.1 surround?

What is the best device for 1080p 5.1 surround?

I have the AppleTV2, but there seams to be problems with 1080P and 5.1.

What is the best format and device?

    Thanks

I have the WDTV Plus. I rip 1920x1080 MKV w/AC3 at around 12mbs - 13.5mbs, 2-pass with a file size around 8gb-13gb. Movie looks really good.

bper, can you post a screenshot of your settings for that mkv rip style?

      Thanks in advance.

I usually set the bitrate anywhere from 10000-15000kbps. Depending on the movie, if it's action with lots of movement, I set a higher bitrate, otherwise, I go for a lower bitrate. I try to keep the movies around 10-12GB's. The example is Avatar, so that's why the file is big at 12.5MBS.
