    how to make iso file

    Dumb question I'm sure...

What step am I missing. All I want to do is go from blu-ray to an iso!!
I put my blu-ray in and select main movie and then select which movie I want and the audio. I then click the iso button to the right of target and let it default to my documents.

It then says please secify path of Nero or ImgBurn at first.
I don't want to burn the image just make a copy to have on my server.
Howl do I just make it write to iso and stop.

    Sorry
I looked all over and couldn't find it.

I'm sorry but, I've tried to duplicate this condition but I can't. I've looked around in the common settings and don't see anything there either.

Perhaps you can include a screen capture so it can be seen what you are seeing on your screen? I'm at a loss. Anyone else?

      Hi Pharmboy
To make an ISO file please install ImgBurn found here along with a tutorial on setting it up with Fab .

Your source will be your optical drive and your target you will select the little piece of paper with a folded corner and little blue disc on it to the right of the target box.

      Hope this helps

CBR929, I've been very interested in setting up ImageBurn with DVDFab but when I try to visit the Youtube site,

I get ... "This video is no longer available because the uploader has closed their YouTube account."

Is there another link or video we can find that's viable? Is it something I'm doing wrong?

        Kindest regards,
        Mdy

          Hi Mdy4Blues

I believe the original poster of that thread Troy512 has closed his account with You Tube.

Like most users if you just take your time and follow the directions you should be able to set it up.
I never followed the video instructions, I just took my time and set it up as per the directions.

          Give it a try.

In conjunction with what CBR929 responded to your question, you need a burn engine installed (and properly referenced in DVDFab to it's location) to generate the Memory Image file (= ISO) you want to save on your server.

When it comes time to select 'Target', simply browse to the server folder you want it written to, rather than a DVD or BR drive for a hard-copy burn.

Thank you very much Vin. I've been using Nero for ages without any problems. I hear that Imageburn sets up to work seamlessly with Fab. I'm thinking what the heck, give it a try. Have also used Fabs burner for BD and have never made a coaster.

Once dvdfab setup is complete, just install the latest imgburn, use the defaults. after IMGburn is installed go back into Dvdfab settings and set it up to use IMGburn as your default burner. Easy, easy.

Now with imgburn: you can make isos from just about any file/folder/directory you want using the create ISO mode. This will allow you to burn those files onto a DVD, that will be readable and useable just like a file on your HardDrive or memory stick.
