New Release backups

Trying to back up the kids new movie "UP" before they scratch it. Disc perpetually spins and is being reviewed. Turned off path and it would get past the initial but then would not get through the processing. Same issue happens with another recent release. Older media still works fine.

So the issue is not with burning but reading.

DVD drive has latest firmware available from manufacturer
Backing up to digital copy, NO MEDIA (DVD's)
Using 6.2.0.5 from 11/11 update.

ANy thoughts?

Version 6.2.0.5 works on UP here with no problems. Win 7 64 bit
PathPlayer always enabled

Try doing straight to HDD then do any conversions or burning from it.

Do you have the single disc or double disc? I am assuming region 1 is this correct?

I am trying to back directly to HDD (No DVD media). I get the popup window for region and select US. I bought the movie here so I assume its correct. haha. I tried all the typical suggestions. DOes the path player run super long for this movie? Maybe im not letting it run for enough time. After 2 or 3 minutes I cancel the review

If I remember correctly it did run longer than normal before grabbing the movie.
Try giving it a little longer and if that does not work try with PathPlayer off.
