Nah DZ. U have got your eggs scrampled here and are confused between the media and the format!!!

Have you taken your Alzheimers Meds?

Any BR disk can be used a a "DATA DISK" and wriiten just like you used to use CD's & DVD's to store data. It's also the same as storing your files on your hard disk.

Normal data writing apps such as Nero, etc can be used and make a "DATA DISK"

It is only when disk is written with the specific BR structure does it become a BR Video Disk...

Yes I even upped the dose! And I understand the fact of data being written to it. What I am saying is no matter what you do to the disc or put on it it will always be a BR! What Marty said is incorrect no matter what you put on it! Write what you want and maybe I am mistaken but you will not be able to put that disc in any type of player that cannot read a BR? Wether it's your computer burner or standalone

I used to import them but no longer do. There is one guy on eBay AU that sells them now. Just search for "Kaiboer" on eBay.

There are a lot of new models that I know very little about.

              Hope this helps.

You'll have to wait until one of the guys that bought them answers.

It is an excellent player and plays anything I throw at it.
And yes, it will play BD, BD .ISO, BD MKV, etc., etc. and has no issue with various audio codecs including lossless Dolby TrueHD.

If I had one complaint, it'd be the remote.
Although it offers a great deal of functionality, the button locations are a joke.
A group of 5-year-olds could have done a better job.

And you can get it for $90 US from Amazon with free shipping. Newegg did have 'em, but I don't see them when I just checked.

did u upgrade the firmware to the xstreamer?

Nope, I still have the "original" firmware"...2151 released in 8-3-11.

I haven't availed myself of all of the AIOS' capabilities.
I already had a roku unit hooked into the system where my wife and I watch tv, movies (10 TB worth) and any online streaming such as netflix.

While this is still a work-in-progress for me (I have more plans), I have absolutely smooth sailing so far, given my current needs...so

How do u get it to see ur computer to stream movies from the hard drive in the computer?

                            Comment

You need to set it up on your network with the IP addressing correct and shares that it can see set up on your computer.

Normally the player forum/manual will have instructions and help on how to do this.
