Blu Ray ripping to MKV hangs?

Having an issue ripping blu ray 3d copy to mkv.
It's harry potter deathly hallows part 2.

It starts... then hangs at less than 1% The beginning I see a green light on the disk drive going and then it goes dark... the time of process ticks but nothing else goes. ANy suggestions or leads?
