3d player to rip 3d movie?

Do I need a 3d blu-ray player to be able to rip a 3d blu-ray movie or just a blu-ray player (without 3d capable) is fine?

Regular BluRay drive on a PC will rip and burn them.
But you can't play 3D back on your computer unless you have the proper 3d equipment on your PC.
