    Blu-Ray problem with 8.1.5.9

    Hello,

I've been using DVDFab for a while now with DVD's and recently for Blu-Ray. The problem I am having after updating to 8.1.5.9 is when I try and copy a blu-ray, either from disc or hard drive, it gets to .20% and stops. It doesn't lock up, or freeze, just stops. The timer keeps going but it's not doing anything. This occurs when it's reading the files, not burning. I removed it and re-installed it and it didn't work. I re-installed 8.1.3.8 and I don't have any problems. It works just fine. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

Please post your internal log first.

Disabling GPU codec’s seems to have fixed the problem. Although I am not sure why, as nothing has changed except the DVDFab Version. I'll re-enable it and run a disc again then post my logs so maybe you can see if there is a bug in the program. Thanks.

As requested here is my internal log. As soon as the encoding started, the % completed went to 0.20% and the encoding rate slowly dropped, while the task time to completion jumped to over 24hrs. But if I turn off GPU codecs it works fine. Like I said, nothing changed except the version of Fab. Thanks.

          Hi Gale
Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVD Fab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes and make sure they are set to Software, while still on this screen please disable Lightning-Recoding restart Fab and try again.

            CBR929,

Thank you, but I have already confirmed that disabling GPU codecs allows Fab to work as normal. But my question is why? Nothing has changed except for updating from 8.1.3.8 to 8.1.5.9. Everything worked fine with 8.1.3.8, but with 8.1.5.9 I have to disable GPU codecs. Just want to know why? Thanks.

              Hi Gale
There have been many changes in the newer versions and GPU codes may have been disabled before, installing the newer version might not have kept you previous settings.

I understand, but I assure you my settings were not changed. Since purchasing Blu-Ray Copy I have kept the default settings which has GPU Codecs enabled. I also removed 8.1.5.9 and installed 8.1.3.8 and made sure that GPU codecs were enabled and it worked fine. I don't want to keep beating this horse because disabling GPU codecs does allows 8.1.5.9 to work, I just want to bring attention to a possible bug in the program. Thanks for your help.
