There are many good free software players that will play them. I use VLC Media player, there are probably better ones specifically for playing DVDs but it plays every video file I've thrown at it.
How to post the internal log

To use Windows media, you need to mount the file for it to recognize it. DVDFab Virtual Drive is one such tool to mount movies. After it is mounted it will look like a DVD player with an installed disc.

You're trying to watch burnt Dvds? Vlc player just riggt click and open with vlc. But sounds like have movies on your hard drive, just the video or the folder u use to burn, if its the video-ts file ...ooen it and ooen the main movie vob and play with vlc

          I'm with 90312 and VLC.
As stated, VLC will play darn near anything and does not rely on external codecs.

Another excellent, free player is MPC (Media Player Classic).

It's best to select the entire movie folder on your hdd and not any subdirectories.
This way you'll avoid playing .vob files as individual files (movie fragments) unless you happen to pick the correct .IFO file.

The AUDIO_TS folder is almost always empty. This is normal

Previous versions such as 1.1.4 (currently on my rig) will play BD files, however, they will not play BD .ISO format.

Maybe 2.0 will...I'll check it out.
              Thanks for the info.
