cpu usage 99-100%

    CPU/GPU cpu usage 99-100%

    Why is it when i use dvdfab 8, while using dvdrip to avi, my cpu goes. 99%? Nothing elseis running and when i kill it, it goes to 2%. It dies it both on my desktop. And laptop. Nothing else makes this happen. Is this common? I cant comolete one file! Im scared my pc will blow

    Unless your processor is way overclocked and way under-cooled don't worry about it. My quad core is maxed out on all four cores when making an MP4 file and never a problem. Your processor is just running calculations at its max capacity. Normal stuff.

      Whew! I have a 6 core processor in a new computer, I was just worried. I always heard people say it could damage it permanently. Glad to here a different point of view!

        Even if the processor were to overheat the overtemp protection would cause your system to spontaneously reboot to protect itself before permanent damage is done.

            Thanks guys, I was just nervous because my fan starts blasting as soon I start to rip to mp4. Glad it's nothing to worry about
