    Licence Problem

I have been having an ongoing problem trying to get DVD Ripper to register. I have a lifetime licence for DVD Copy and bought lifetime licence for Ripper to add dvd's to iPad.

However despite all my attempts to copy and paste the key into the registration box and getting a registration successful message, I still get trial version in the "about" table and the DVDFab banner on anything ripped.

I have uninstalled all previous DVDFab products, deleted all remaining files and folders and even removed the DVDFab entry from the registery. I have stopped the antivirus and reinstalled it all. I still get the same result DVD Copy full version, DVDRipper trial!!!

This is extremely frustrating and am fed up with the whole thing. I have been in contact with support and am now seeking my money back. I have been told by support that this is not possible as I should have checked that the product worked. It does work except for the functions that are reliant on purchasing the licences.

Is anyone else having this problem? Anyone know how to get the key installed perminantly or getting a refund of the cost, before I instruct the credit card company the product is faulty???

      Hi pjroyal
Did you download your new key from the members area found here

      Please try this:
      1. Uninstall the current version that you have installed.
      2. Download the latest version [or current beta] and save it to your desktop.
      3. Right click on the installation file and select "Run as Administrator"
      4. Close down DVDFab if it opens after installing
      5. Open your registration file and copy the serial number
      6. Right click on the Fab Icon and again select "Run as Administrator"
      7. Paste the registration number in where required (without the asteriscs*****)
      8. When the installer finishes, it asks whether you wish to start DVD Fab, DO NOT DO THIS. Untick the check box and click the Finish button.

You then should be able to run Fab normally from the icon.

If still having problems, you may have to activate the Administrator account on your computer and actually log in as Administrator and carry out the above process.

      Hope this helps

        Hi CBR929

        Many thanks for the advise.

I also searched the Registry and removed all referenced to DVDFab including the ".DVDFab" ones when I uninstalled the previous version.

I am pleased to say that after reinstalling the key for DVD2DVD Copy both it and Ripper now have "Never Expires" in the "about" table.
