DVDfab: Ripping dvd to one single file

I am trying to rip a dvd to my hard drive.
The dvd rips great, but for some reason it is splitting up
the movie into file sizes of 1048 mb, making the whole dvd
    three different files.
I have tried a couple different things but I can't seem to find a setting
to change this, if there is one.

    I am running dvdfab6 on windows 7.

    thanks

    Hi doc shiznit and welcome,

We need a bit more info

First thing that comes to mind...are you ripping to an .ISO file and using a hdd that is FAT32 as opposed to NTFS?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

When "DVD to DVD" rips to the hard disk, it will maintain a DVD-Compliant structure which demands that the VOB's are this size.

If you want just one VOB file, you will have to use the "DVD to Mobile" module of Fab and the VOB Passthrough profile.

Perhaps I should have left my original comments.
So you're converting the already ripped dvd?

What were the original comments, Maineman?

You're really pushing this old man's memory...
Initially, I wasn't sure if the OP had successfully ripped the dvd and then had a problem converting or perhaps he meant that the movie ripped ok (meaning all the files ripped), but were simply fragmented like you'd see when ripping to an .ISO with a FAT32 hdd.

I was asking what application specifically he was having a problem with...

Geesh, I hope this makes sense.

Ah well, I think he has enough info to go on now.

yeah the files ripped fine and were watchable, but it split them up into several files.

There is a "SPLIT" option in the conversion settings. Make sure this is set to "No Split"

Also, you said your drive was NTFS formatted. If you try to do the VOB Passthrough to a FAT32 formatted drive, it will be split because of file size limitations of FAT32.
