    Optical Drives Blu_ray burner

    Hi there,
How do you know whether your blu-ray burner is dead? I have had no problem using my burner to copy and compress for a backup, but when I try to burn the blu-ray ISO, I get "Writing", and 0.03%, then the disc tray opens, and asks me if I want to burn again, failed. I try again, and get the same response.

I tried to use the same burner and reversed my drives, and made a backup burn of a straight DVD, and no problem. So no issues burning a regular DVD, but issues burning a BLU-RAY.

Is it possible, that the DVD burning works, but the BLU-RAY burning doesn't?? Do they have separate burners or lasers doing different work?

I don't understand how they work, so I am totally baffled.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Is that a different burning software? I use 1 Click DVD Pro for my dvd's and works fine...
Why are you asking questions on the DVDFab forum if you use other sofware to copy your movies.
