Do you lose quality if you shrink from 50 gb's to 25 gb (main movie)? I'm trying to decide how I want to make my back ups.

Yes you will lose some quality, depending on how much compression you do..... IE :when you are ready to start to compress a37gb movie to 25gb your quality will be about 62% and this number will be shown before you start the compression. If however your only compressing say 29gb to 25gb you'll be getting a better quality rating....but that being said it's not that bad of a result either way
