    Very Slow Encoding

I'm running windows 7 w/ i5 processor, 4 gigs of ram and decent HD video card. Awhile back when DVDFab first introduced shrinking from 50 to 25 gig discs, i was encoding a disc in like 3 hours or so.. After a few updates from that point it was taking 12-18 hours!! Not sure why,as i have the same computer with the same settings checked on DVDFab. I gave up and have been using a different product with good success. Just today i was like, what the heck,I'm gonna try v9.. Same old song and dance... SLOW!!!

I had a ISO already ripped on my hard drive.. It analyzed it in a few seconds. Now I'm 35 minutes into the encode and still on 0% and its encoding at 0.08Mb/s... Why so slow? So frustrating!! Any advice please?

Which i5 CPU and motherboard do you have?

Its a i5 750 processor. The motherboard is a Biostar H55 HD. Video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS.

Even 3 hours is slow. Have you thought about a CPU and motherboard upgrade?
