Why does it keep saying this? I've never had this problem until a couple of weeks ago. public enemies, friday the 13th(2009) are some of the movies im having problems with.

You must have your setting at DVD9 instead of DVD5 .
If so just change it. If not we need some details before we can be of any help.

it wont let me select DVD5, it says it has expired. so do i have to buy it or can i adjust some settings?

Yes, you will have to buy it.

The free version will not compress to DVD5.

The difference is:
dvd5 = is a single-sided, single-layer dvd with a capacity of approx 4.7 GB
dvd9 = is a single-sided,double-layer dvd with a capacity of approx 8.5 GB
