    Thanks GregiBoy!!!

Your advice and links have been very helpful in my quest to convert my DVD collection. Thanks for your hard work. Question for you: When using generic.avi.h264 to rip DVDs what framerate should I use? Does it matter? Thanks again...

Yup, GregiBoy has done an outstanding job with his guides and info.
I suspect GregiBoy is sound asleep right now, but to answer your question,
    try 23.976 fps.
And this may have been just your phrasing, but you should always rip the files to your hdd prior to any conversions...

        I wish GregIBoy were here...maybe I'll wake him up...hehehe.

As I understand it, theatrical movies are normally 24 fps. When transferred to NTSC TV, I believe the effective rate slows to 23.976 fps and with transfer to PAL TV, speeds increase to about 25 fps.

Initially, Fab's Mobile app had a default setting of 29.97 fps.
Most of us, including me, did not experience any issues.
My guess is that any predisposition for errors is minimized with an fps of 23.976.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

            GregiBoy finally woke up....

As a general rule use "Same as source".

Most players can handle different framerates and this means less interpolation by the software and means best quality.
