    Burn Error

Hi, I'm hoping someone less novice can assist. I can't seem to get a double layer burn to work. New HP drive (checked all firmware/drivers up to date),and I'm using the 6.2.0.5 version of DVDFab. Additionally, I changed the setting for the write speed to 4, yet it still shows 8 (yes, I closed it and reopened.) Here is the error log: I have noted the errors in color:

Other settings: Booktype set proper for DVD+R DL; DMA enabled, but as you can see...it failed, and has consistently no matter what DL I try. If anyone here can decypher the error and assist, I sure would be grateful, and admit I am no wizard with this. ...Thank you!!! MzHarleyD.

OK download and install ImgBurn and use that as the burn engine instead of the built in VSO burn engine. There is a link on how to set up ImgBurn to work with DVDFab and where to get it to download. Link to that is below

Watch the youtube video as it the easiest way to configure ImgBurn and DVDFab to work in Harmony together.

          burn error

Well, the installation of ImgBurn went fine. Was the first time I actually could even start a DL burn process! ...unfortunately, I still can't complete.

The first time left me with the following error: The semaphone timeout period has expired. So I researched what the heck a "semaphone...etc" was, and then spent a couple hours verifying I had the latest MS updates, etc. Once finished, I tried again...and the latest error...

have you checked the cable hooked up to the DVD drive to make sure it on correctly as you said it a new DVD drive also watch the youtube video on the link I posted in post #2 as it explains how to set up ImgBurn to be used with DVDFab as you burned at max speed and you can adjust it to burn at 4x like you should

              burn error

              Hi AGJ,

Thanks again for all your help...everything on a single burn works great, it's just the DL issues.

Yes, went through all the instructions step by step, even verified them after the first error. Everything on the external drive is hooked up fine. I'm stumped.
