License/Key Install on a new PC (Windows 8)

    Hi Guys,

So I've not been on these forums for a while on the basis all has been OK for me, however have just updated to a new rig -- Windows 8 machine.

Prior to upgrade I backed everything up including my licence keys and am now trying to re-install DVD Fab. I've been using this since way back (version 6) days and I my "Key.DVDFab6" file --- which I thought was a regristry file ??

I tried double clicking this to import however it would not let me ?

Can anyone advise the steps to reinstall on Windows 8 please (64 bit) ?

I did try a search and am registered so can contact a mod if that's the way to go ?

    Hope someone can help.

If you are trying to install version 9 you'll need to go to the members site, create an account using the email address used to purchase and a password of your choosing. Use the email address and password to register version 9.

If version 8 you can download your current key in the members account you created, double click it and you should be good to go.

hey -- tkx for the quick reply.
Sorry to say it's not helped much.

I can login to the members areas and i can see my Products and the "Download" key however this file is the same as I have already and is DVDFab6.

This is an old "Never Expire" key as I'm a long time user.

I cannot see any of the menu's that allow me to register for DVDFab 9 , albeit I was using this prior to my change of machine.

Can you advise further on this please ? Or should I contact the DVDFab guys direct ?

      Thanks,

      Asbac

        hi 90312 (and others),

Thanks -- I figured it out.

I downloaded version 9 and ran this and this prompted me to "Register" then.
I simply used my members account login/password -- all seems good now.

        Tks
