Other How much quality am I losing compressing to 92-95%?

I never do this with new movies but right now I'm backing up the complete Dallas TV series from the 80's and rather than splitting, I'm doing whole disks at a time due to only 3 eps per disk and it's averaging about 93% or so.


So with the quality already lower due to Dallas being SD and an old show, how much of a difference do you think there is in splitting the disks and compressing them to 92-95%?

That's not much compression at all, try copying to a folder on your hdd and view it on your computer.
I doubt that you will be able to tell a difference.

As CBR929 wrote your compression is not much.

Even a compression to 75% is good.
The difference is as small as you can see at the original.

The Dallas stuff I am compressing is 1878-1983 and at 91-93% I really do not see a difference.

Sometimes I think I see a difference but I think it is just all in my head knowing it is compressed a bit
