    9.1.3.6 Not loading

I get the splash screen and not much else and it locks up. I use CCLeaner and delete log directory before reinstall. I also make the change to “PreviewDirectShow” with no results. Reboots after deletion and before running, after reinstall. It will install alright on another box that has the same settings to Norton 360, so I don’t think it’s a firewall issue. I thought that an ill acting USB card was doing something so I removed it with no effect. I also restored a disk backup from a few days ago when things were running alright thinking a program/update/settings change may have occurred to mess things up. It ran fine then, but was BluFab, so that’s not a solution. I uninstalled BluFab and haven’t been able to run DVDfab since.

    Any thoughts ????

    Splash screen and not loading

I too am having the same problems. I thought I had installed BluFab instead of DVD Fab removed DVD Fab and I reinstalled DVD Fab 9.1.3.6. I re registered and it worked only once and then I got the splash screen and then the "not responding" message when I went to exit.
I am thinking about going back to 9.1.3.3 to see if that works.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

I did a search about the failure to load, about editing the file and it worked.

        Hi kherr,
I also make the change to “PreviewDirectShow” with no results.
How did you change to DirectShow that DVDFab could not start fine?

        Please follow these steps:
        1. Uninstall Blufab first.
        2. Reinstall DVDFab V9136.
        3. Go to "C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\DVDFab9".
        4. Edit the config file with TXT or Notepad.
        5. Search "PreviewDirectShow" and set to "1" manually.
        6. Start DVDFab.

        Please tell me the result.

        Wilson
Please post your logs the default location is:
        For DVDFab 13: C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\DVDFab13\Log
        For StreamFab: C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\log
Please use attachment button and attach your most recent, Internal log and post right here.
If it's the burning issue, please also attach burn log.

i have not been able to use any update since 9.1.2.8. When I update and try to open the new update it hangs up on the logo and says it's logging in ,but that's all it does. where do I go to try the :C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\DVDFab9. I'm not that computor literate.

            Solved:
I rooted through the listing of program and found "CyberPower2Go" and for the life of me figure out what it did or how it got there, so I deleted it. Then ran CCleaner and removed some lingering remnants, along with 2 files from DVDfab. Rebooted and ran CClener again (nothing found), and clicked on the monkey. All is well for now anyway.

              Providing Windows ....

Click on C:, Users, (your user name), Appdata (may be hidden directory, if hidden I don't remember how to display it), Roaming, DVDFab9.
              Right click on fab_config
              Choose edit.
On the menu bar click edit
              Choose find
Enter "Preview"(no ""), click Next till "PreviewDirectShow" is found. Change the "0" to "1".
Go to the menu bar and click on File, click on Save.
              Your done

I've done that to death with no results. My "fix" unded up lasting a whole 2 hours (ripping 1 1hr BD) ...
I went back to 9.1.2.8 I think with no results. I'm restoring the computer as far back as I can (I think 3/19 or so) to see what that happens.

Cyberlink Power2Go is a burning program. Usually can come pre-installed on systems

Even if you remove a copying and burning program, it still might not remove the filters it put on your drive, it will not let any program use that drive only the program that installed the filters.

Download ImgBurn and install it, open ImgBurn > Tools > Filter Driver Load Order and post what is listed.

I disconnected my 3 external drives (not USB, but connected to the computers SATA connectors) and it's running at least for now. I'm half way through 13 BD files and won't get done till morning. I'm not going to touch a thing till then. In the morning I'll try your thing and see what's what and see if I can get the others going. It's worked for short times before, so I'm not saying it's fixed for a while.
It's funny that I ripped 300+ disks with minimal troubles and then all of a sudden when I'm coming down the home stretch everything falls apart .....

                              Hello.
AppData is a hidden file in windows 7.
To reveal it, go to control panel.
                              Appearance and Personalization
Show hidden files and folders, view, check show hidden files folders and drives.
You may get a message that this is not a good thing, but ignore for the fix. Now you can find the AppData file.

Just remember to reset to don't show hidden files folders and drives
