Other not writing

DVDFab copies the DVD but automatically goes to writing the DVD without me putting in blank DVD. How do I correct this?

Starts writing where? Check your target drive, if you only have one optical drive make sure the destination is the same as the source.

i am going to ask the dumb question, but how do I do that?

I see the dvd is being copied to a certain temporary folder, but the writing is not happening in the same drive that is copying the dvd. it actually runs through as if it is writing up the dvd.
