OK. I'm losing it. I tried to rip the movies with HandBrake since there is no encryption and I get a failure at 1.47% complete. That's about where DVDFab was failing. HandBrake is not trying to decrypt the discs like DVDFab, but I am getting the same issue at the same spot. For kicks and giggles, I played the movies on my Blu Ray player and they do play. Does anyone know what is going on? I have been ripping movies for years. This is the first time I have ever encountered this kind of problem. I'm about to give up.Last edited by GrumpySkinsFan; 11-03-2016, 11:09 AM.

You can copy a unencrypted disk with Fab,IMG bURN or even Windows if it can get by the read error's as they prevent copying.Play can skip over the bad sectors so they play fine. Some burner programs can skip over bad sections with a pop up warning mean the bad section may cause the movie to glitch/freeze etc where the read errors are if copied but if bad errors it just won't copy return the disks if you can and buy from retail source or Amazon I buy most of mine from them.Remember Ebays return policy.
Two things I would try is use Fab in clone mode and see if it will copy the disk without read errors. If no try img burn to make a iso if no to both use VSO inspector a free program to check the disk and sectors to see if it's a bad disk at this point I would say it is but this program will tell you.
To use it by play the disk in the dvd drive with a software player then put in still mode fire up VSO inspector do a surface scan and file scan it will take awhile then give you a report on the disk in drive.Get it here VSO inspector http://www.vso-software.fr/products/.../inspector.php

I am done! The following is the error found by Imgburn. I also tried to do copy mode in DVDFab and it failed at 2% complete. These disks are not meant to be ripped. If there is something else I can try, let me know, but I think this may be a fatal issue. Thanks for all the help.

I would like to thank everyone for their help, with the exception of Mr. Video who has been nothing but a sarcastic douche with absolutely nothing to offer but arrogance. If you are going to leave a comment on a thread, the least you could do is be helpful and relevant. Leaving a comment, in and of itself, is not help. Thank you to everyone else, though, for taking time to try and help figure this out with constructive comments. That is what makes a helpful forum.
