True, but it is very possible to buy used rental discs. That said, because the number of people who will actually own rental discs is so slim, it is not worth the staff's efforts to remove Cinavia.

Cinavia is removed for the store brought disk.
You don't need new drives but do keep their firmware up to date.
Fab media player doesn't see the Cinavia and will always play the infected disk.

    cinavia removal

Need explanation of posts in this forum. I purchased cinavia removal when it first came out. I'm currently using DVD Fab 10.0.3.6. I have multiple blu ray disks (rentals) which contain cinavia. Settings show removal enabled. Cinavia is never removed.
    1. Is removal not possible on Rentals?
    2. Do I need to update blu ray @ dvd drives? About 5 years old.?
    3. If I play copied movies on Sony Blu ray player. Cinavia is still present and mutes movie.
    4. If I play copied movies on PC with DVD Fab media player 3 they play without cinavia functioning.

    Any assistance3 would be appreciated.

True, if it is a bootleg. But, the posting was about store-bought.

Produced discs are not burned using blanks, they are pressed.

Please post a internal log file and signals and you can compare disk serial numbers and disk size.

    Everything checks out as Genuine

    1. The shiny side of the BD has those markers and numbers like all genuine BD'S 2. Has Master audio 3. Is Cinavia free 4. Has full length, and fully working menus 5. Plays perfectly on ps4 6. shows no signs of being counterfeit 7. Came with a second bonuses disc (making of the movie). 8. Nothing odd showing in ImgBurn 9. Is AACS protected 10. Confirmed by passkey to be region A

Should of said in my last post when looking for bootleg disks put disk in Img burn select (read) disk look for IMP ID look at file size to see if bootleg disk is compressed and look at burn speeds for disk in drive they may be different from store brought disk that you need to compare these value's to.Also look to see if disk was made region free in addition to disk serial number.Misspelled words are a dead giveaway as well as region free.

I have the US retail version of this disc and it most certainly has Cinavia, which DVDFab removes correctly. What you have is almost certainly a Korean knockoff of the original which may or may not have Cinavia but if it is a counterfeit, it may or may not contain the Cinavia infection but will not match the disc ID of the true original which means that DVDFab will not recognize the infection. Please post Cinavia questions in the correct forum in the future and attach the DVDFab internal log session.

Yes I do have the module enabled.

Also passkey did not show the usual warning either.
