    "task_2 failed error=116"

    Two weeks ago I had no trouble burning these same image files, now I keep getting failures burning from the same .iso(s) & cloning the dvds I made earlier. I tried two different brand DVD+RDL disks (maxell, windata). I tried two different dual layer drives. my fail message says "task_2 failed error=116" (right at 50%) This is dvdfab v6. Anybody have a suggestion ? What is the PCA?
    Here is the dvdfab_burn_vso log

      OK, I just updated the NEC firmware to the latest (1.07). Tried it again, and same failure (at 50%)when it tries to change layers.

        When you start the process make sure on the bottom of DVD Fab it is set to DVD9 and not DVD5.

          A few thoughts.
          Ritek DL media often has layer break issues. Generally, it is not recommended for video archiving.

          " PCA full" = Power Calibration Area Full = power calibration error.
          The most frequently seen cause for this error is poor/marginal media.

          Really...the only consistently recommended DL media is Verbatim +R DL
          MID = MKM 001 and MKM 003.
          Try to find MIS (made in Singapore), but even MII (made in India) is preferable to the crapshoot with other media.

          Slow your burn speed to 4X

          //Edit
          Oh sorry, forgot.
          Please switch to Img for your burn engine. You may have better luck even with these Riteks

          If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

            I finally got around to buying some Verbatim brand DL disks and now have no issues copying DL dvds or burning DL .iso files. Thanks for the info.
