Dvd in wrong order?

I tried to make a copy of a dvd for the kids to watch in the car (as not to mess up the good copy) and I had no problems coping, but when we tried to watch it the movie was in the wrong order! It would play like half a scene jump to another scene then back to the other. What is the problem, and how can I fix it?

what brand blanks did you use?
What speed did you burn at?
