Issue Ripping Audio CDs...Maybe someone here will know.

This isn't DVDfab related, but I figure someone here might know or be able to point me in the right direction.

I have an issue when ripping CDs. Sometimes, when playing back the tracks, I will encounter random clicks, almost like the CD is skipping. It's more prevalent in some of the audiobooks I've ripped, but it's definitely happening in music CDs too. I have 5 different bluray/DVD burners and it doesn't seem to matter which one is used. I have been ripping in itunes mostly but it happens also in Windows Media Player. I'm ripping to MP3 at 320kbps.

Here's an example. It's a recent rip from the new Abby Road Deluxe release. The song skips around 25-26 seconds.

I'm thinking about starting to rip to FLAC. Also, maybe there's a setting that will slow the pass or make a double pass. Maybe one of these will help. I"m open to any suggestions.

right-click the speaker icon in the notification area next to your clock and select “Playback Devices”.
Double-click the default playback device, which has a green checkmark on its icon.
Click the “Advanced” tab and use the Default Format box to select your sound quality level. Try setting your audio quality to “16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)”. Click “OK” afterwards and see if the crackling or other audio problems continue.

It's not a playback issue. It has to do with errors during the ripping process.
