Hey, I'm trying to find a codec that will work with the new HTML5 video tag, and Safari browsers.
I've tried a couple of the "ipod" profiles, as well as the generic mp4 profiles, but none of them are playable via Safari.
These are codecs that are supposed to be supported in Safari browsers:
video/mp4; codecs="avc1.42E01E, mp4a.40.2"
video/mp4; codecs="avc1.58A01E, mp4a.40.2"
video/mp4; codecs="avc1.4D401E, mp4a.40.2"
video/mp4; codecs="avc1.64001E, mp4a.40.2"
video/mp4; codecs="mp4v.20.8, mp4a.40.2"
video/mp4; codecs="mp4v.20.240, mp4a.40.2"
video/3gpp; codecs="mp4v.20.8, samr"
Has anyone matched a DVDfab profile/setting to these various "types"? I didn't want to have to try the whole matrix of matching profile to type tag, if anyone else has already had any luck.
