BluRay from mp4 - sound problem - created Dolby - will not play on PC sound cuts out

I have a downloaded mp4 file I converted to mkv and tried to burn a BluRay disk. mkv will play on my computer but not the created discs. Apparently they are Dolby which I do not think my dvd players will handle OR there is some sort of audio protection where the disc will play for a few seconds then sound cuts off. I need suggestions for this AND a pointer to some place I can understand sound formats. I see nothing in DVD Fab to select simple stereo output.

What audio settings did you use for converting the MP4 into MKV? You can change the audio codec to AAC or AC3 in the Advanced Settings window to convert the MP4 and then convert it to BD again to see the result first.
