Hello,
I am looking to replace my desktop computer with a laptop.
My current setup is Windows 7, 64bit Home Premium, HP p6232p computer, 8 mb memory, Intel Core Quad CPU Q8300 and a Nvidia GeForce GT640.
Ideally, I would like to be able to hardward decode/encode H.264, hardware decode/encode H.265 and convert the latest Blu-ray discs & streaming services.
The sticky note for DVDFab supported cpus and graphics card is dated '2017. It says Intel 6th gen CPUs with integrated Intel graphics can handle H.264 & H.265 using IQS.
Will I be safe in purchasing a laptop running Windows 10 Home Edition (maybe Windows 11), 64 bit, a minimum of 16 gb of memory with an Intel CPU 7th gen or greater with integrated Intel graphics?
Would it be better to get a laptop with a separate GPU card internal to the laptop? If so, any recommendations for an internal graphics card?
Thanks,
Dana
