Proper way to deauthorize and reauthorize dvdFab

I am setting up my new laptop tomorrow. I have a lifetime license for several dvdfab products. I need to deauthorize the current copy on old laptop, download the current dvdfab program into new one and authorize it.

I am pretty sure I will use my account at dvdFab's web site.

Could somebody show me how to do that? I don't want to mess things up.
    Thank you.

    Read here:
This page provides information about purchasing policies - a collection of rules that requisition process.

You might just try to install DVDFab & try to authorize it on your new computer and see if DVDFab permits that (I think it used to & I used that to have it on both my tower & laptop, but that was a number of years ago & may not work anymore). If it refuses, you should be able to deauthorize the software on your old computer and authorize it on the new one. Make sure you have the id you used when you authorized the software earlier as you will surely need that. I would also make sure you don't end up here:
"If you need to deauthorize a computer that you can no longer access, you need to deauthorize all computers at DVDFab Member Center. However, you can only do that once per year."
So I would make sure you have set things up the way you want them before your old computer goes away.

I just checked my account at dvdFab's site. It shows I used one authorization. My email and current laptop's mac address are there .Do I click 'Deauthorize all' when I am using the old laptop, then go to same web site with the new laptop and authorize it?

Never have I done this before. Naturally, I am cautious and little nervous.

I have a one computer license.

          Another question:

It seems dvdFab lets you transfer authorization from old to new pc only once a year. Let's say I do that tomorrow. What happens if I have to send the pc back because of a major issue and the seller replaces it?

I have no control over such problem! I hope that strict policy won't force me to wait a year. Shouldn't I be able to deauthorize it again and start all over with a replacement pc?

Looking at that link I sent you: it looks like it is saying "deauthorize all" is only permitted once a year. If you deauthorize the products on your old computer one at a time, I expect you will be ok. I confess I haven't had to do this in a long time, so I would go slowly and pick one of the products to deauthorize on your old computer, and then install and authorize it on your new computer to make sure the process works ok. If something happens to your new computer in the future and you need help getting things working correctly on a replacement, I expect Fab support staff will assist.
So I suggest you pick one of the products you have installed & authorized on your existing computer, deauthorize it (do not "deauthorize all") and then install/authorize that product on the new one. I am also going to contact Fab support and ask them to look over this message stream to make sure we are handling this correctly.

Thanks for the info. I have 3 DVDFab products. They are all together under DVDFab software. How will I be able to pick one out of three?

If you are saying the products you have are all inside DVDFab - meaning you have access to all the products once you launch "DVDFab12 as they are all options spelled across the top tabs for example, then I think you can think of these as 1 product for purposes of authorizing. I have sent a message to a couple of DVDFab support staff asking them to look over our conversation to make sure what I am saying to you is current knowledge - so unless you are in a huge rush, maybe give this a day or 2 for some feedback from them. I won't be available during the day tomorrow, but I will check on things once I get back home.

Sorry Rich86. Received the new shiny laptop yesterday and busy with all the software I need to install. Yes, all 3 products are together . I have only one icon on my desktop, DVDFAb 12 (x64).
I also sent email to customer support few minutes ago before I noticed your reply. I can wait few days. No reason for rush. I appreciate you getting in touch with them. Take care.

Good morning everybody. DVDFab responded to ticket I opened at their web site. It seems you need to get in touch with them for authorization on new pc.

Click 'ticket' under 'Account Operations' (left side of the page). Enter your email and password. Remember, it may be different than your forum pw.

Tell them you need reauthorization. After they respond follow the instructions.

I am copying the exact message here (after blocking my email address)

We've reset all the authorization for you, you can try again now.

Please download the latest version of DVDFab on your new PC at https://www.dvdfab.cn/download.htm.

DVDFab 12 doesn't need key file, it uses on-line verification method. To authorize DVDFab version 12, your registered email account and password for our Member Center http://www.dvdfab.cn/member.htm are required. Please put down your account info to register it.

                    register E-mail: ************@***************

password: (you know it; if not please reset it or contact us)

If you forgot your password, please retrieve it here: https://www.dvdfab.cn/member.htm?a=reset_pw&t=per.

                    Sincerely yours,
