When to use DVD Fab?

I asked this on another thread but have had no answer yet, so I thought it deserved a thread of its own as I am sure others will be interested.

From another thread it appears some protections like McAfee which I use can interfere with DVD Fab although I have never had any trouble at all.

Is it a good idea when using DVD Fab to copy a DVD to be off line for that time?

Or it shouldn't matter?

Thank you for any advice as I normally do the copying while still on line and with McAfee running.
