Which external drive for blu rays?

I am trying to rip my Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray using DVDFab 13.0.3.6
    My Hardware:

    - Windows 11 Notebook
    - External Blu-Ray Disc Drive: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CW34G3X6?...fed_asin_title

When inserting my Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray, for my notebook it looks like there is no disc in the disc drive. Also DVDFab does not recognize the disc.

I think, this is an issue because of the blu ray copy protection. However, I though that the software is responsible for bypassing this protection. Or has the disc drive to bypass this protection?
So, what external disc drive do I have to buy, to rip copy protected blu rays using DVDFab? Are there any recommendations?

I have the ASUS BW-16D1HT in an OWC external enclosure that uses a SATAIII to USB 3 bridge. No problems! Amazon carries both items

I have been using the Pioneer BDR-209DBK for years and it has always been a great drive. I used a Vantek external drive reader since its a sata connection. I just looked it up on Amazon and its more expensive now than when I bought it back in 2018 and a second one in 2020 so I would maybe find something cheaper. heh, I just went back to Amazon to look, didn't realize the price had gone up so much. The Pioneer is 119 with Dead Eye's Asus being 128 so there is at least 2 different ones to choose from.
