    Vista to Windows 7?

I'm no computer guru, so I'm confused about something. I bought a laptop with Windows Vista on it. It came with a nice dvd burner. I bought DVDFab and was able to copy, burn dvds with no issues. I upgraded to Windows 7 on the same laptop. I was told that DVDFab would still work fine. It does not. It apparently copies the movie, but it will not burn the copied movie to dvd. I'm not sure why. I assume this is a common thing. If so, what can I do?

    Thanks,

Upgrades are always a bit problematic and less than ideal, that's not to say they never work.
Moreover, there is no compatibility issue with Win 7 and Fab.
Many users, including myself do not have issues with Win 7 and Fab.
Since Fab rips ok, I suspect some sort of I/O / driver issue with VSO (Fab's default burn engine).

    Please post info detailed in

    The logs are particularly helpful.

Also recommend that you switch to Img for your burn engine
Here's a link to D/L and install Img and a video tutorial to set up Img and Fab:

      Not sure what's going on...

Okay, I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I have a copy of DVDfab, which worked just fine in Vista. I put a movie in to copy; it goes through the reading process and then Windows tells me DVDfab has stopped working due to a problem; Windows tells me it will find a solution to the problem, but nothing else happens. I click "Close Program" and that's it. I assume I need to adjust settings or something but I have NO IDEA what. I don't want to go messing around.

      Can anyone help out?

      Thanks

Have you tried right clicking Fab and run as administrator?

Yes, I tried this, but it then tells me I only have access to the trial version of DVDfab6, which only makes things more confusing.

DVDFab completely and try re-installing it?
