    multiple ac-3/2 audio tracks

I recently ran across a post that said if you only plan on listening to a dvd with stereo sound (tv episodes) that you should just rip the stereo audio track, and do audio pass-thru on the encoder since the stereo mix on the DVD is almost certainly better than the mix an encoder would do from a 5.1 signal.

My question is this: I recently ran into dvd's with three english audio tracks (one ac-3/5.1 and two ac-3/2 tracks). Does anyone know why there are two 2-channel tracks and if I should grab both of them or just one? I have previewed the file in dvdfab but couldn't tell any discernible difference between the two.

Not sure but one could be the commentary audio. What you could do is rip the DVD to hard drive using each audio and the play them back on computer to see what the difference is. I'm sure someone else who would know more about it will post a reply for you
