It looks like that some other software that you have installed is controlling your burner and not allowing access.

    W 17:07:40 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.
    W 17:07:40 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_DISMOUNT_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.

What other DVD software do you have installed?

DVDFAB locks the drive and will not let imgburn access it.
Need to disable one of them from locking the drive.

Use ImgBurn under ImgBurn settings and post the filter drive load order as it sounds like might have a bad filter installed that is not allowing access to the DVD drive

The discs you are using are prone to not to write, they are of low quality

CMC MAG. AM3 I would change the burn speed to 8X.

FYI..The last batch of VERBATIM I purchased a couple weeks ago have an mid of CMC MAG AM3.
Yes they have proven to be sub standard quality regardless of the well known and recommended name.
