        And a high end NVidia Graphics card, not ATI, at least 1 Tb HDD, fastest processor and as much ram the budget will allow.

        Another little bit of kit that I have found very useful with media manipulation is a removable SATA drive tray. This allows me to slot in any SATA drive in without any screws, clip the door shut and the drive is recognised.
