    7053

I cannot download the 7053 version. First time ever it says the path, file is not found I do not have permission......anyone else have that issue today with trying to get the new beta of 7053?

    Thanks

    It says

"windows cannot access specified device, path or file, you do not have the appropriate permissions to access file"

Never had that come up before when downloading new versions over the years.

It almost feels like there is a virus attached to it as I try downloading it. My Norton goes crazy and says there is a security risk while trying to downlaod the 7053 version........

I checked V7053 this morning with 41 different virus programs including Norton.

None of them report a virus in DVDFAB V 7053.

Also I did a check with McAfee Total Protection 2010
No Viris was found in DVDFAB v7053 beta.

And a normal download of the file.

If there was a problem with the download the forum would be over run with complaints.

It seems the problem is at your end. Have you tried turning off your firewall or making some adjustments to the firewall in case it is blocking the download?

I do not recommend turning off your virus protection but if you have something other than norton then turn off norton.

It is way weird. The last beta about a week ago worked great with no issues downloading, that is why I am stumped. Here is exactly what happens...it is downloading and stops at 12.7 MB out of the 13.2...it gives me that path device error and I may not have the proper permissions...Norton does a scan and says it finds a medium threat...the file insight of that threat is There are many indications that this file is untrustworthy and therefore unsafe dvdfab7053beta[1].exe (WS.reputation.1)

Firewall was turned off, I do only have Norton so not going to turn that off........

                      Finally worked

I had to disable my firewall and Norton for 15 minutes and it finally downloaded correctly....not sure what was up but it's all good now.

                      Thanks

It made sense that the firewall or Norton was causing the problem.

                        Glad you got it downloaded.

                          But

It does appear that some others are having the same issues, as I see another thread with the same thing that happened to me. Glad I was not the only one....

                              Maybe this is a solution.

Put as a trustful website in Norton.
So Norton will not block downloads from DVDFAB.
