I need advice please on blank DVD-R/16

I have been getting a lot of coasters. I have been using imation DVD-R/16 of late but getting just way too many ( no burns) and I am getting pissed. Can someone with blank DVD knowledge help out a fellow forum friend with what are a few good types of blank DVD media? HELP ME SOMEONE OUT THERE!

Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.
There are tons of posts re: blank media...don't know how you missed them all.

Verbs are found in many brick & mortar stores and onlline.
Taiyo Yuden...pretty much just online for most of the planet..
Brands generally don't mean much when referring to media, with the above exceptions to this.

It's best to talk in terms of MID (media ID)...

Dretsel, you aren't attempting to actually burn those at 16X are you? I would burn no faster than 8X and probably 6. And mainman's advice is spot on as per normal.
