Dvdfab 7.0.6.2 closing when running a movie

Im having a problem opening the Open Season movie. I tried it with other movies and the same pop up window appears "DVDFab has stopped working and now windows is closing the program." I have the new version 7.0.6.2. Please help. Im not sure if it is the program or just me. In order to make the program work I had to use one of the oldest versions, 7.0.5.8.

Strange, are you certain that you installed the CSS application and not the non-CSS app?

Please download v.6072 from right here:

(This is the D/L site linked right here on the forum.
Note that it says CSS Version).

Any details as to an error that pops up?

Yes I did. I downloaded the program from that same link. What else can I do?

Did you revert back to 7058 to get the program to work?...
and now you're trying to update back to 7062, but every movie you attempt crashes the app?
        Have I got this right?

For starters, please D/L a fresh installer and save it to your hdd.
If it's already on your hdd, overwrite it.
Now right click on the installer and select Run as Administrator
          and give it another shot.
We'll start with quick and easy and hopefully this works.

Please post any logs you may have.
There are internal, process and burn logs...it doesn't sound like you'll have any burn logs with 7062.
          The default location is:
          C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yep. I upgraded the program to 7.0.6.2, I tried to copy the movie and the program crashed. I downloaded 7.0.5.8 version again and had no problem burning the movie. One thing that actually happened when i was installing the new version, my antivirus program gave a warning saying that i was one of the few users to download that program and gave me three choices and i chose to download it anyway. Do you think it was my antivirus program? I doubt it though because when i downloaded 7.0.5.8 my antivirus said it was safe to run it.

These are very old logs, it seems you looked into wrong folder.
BTW was DVDFab able to send Info files?

If you can, disable the anti-virus program just long enough to download a fresh installer. Your anti-virus program may be quarantining a specific file during the download that 7062 needs to run properly.

If that would be true, setup wouldn't let him install due to corrupt setup.

                          Hi dragongirl2010
I have a few suggestions for you, first install Imgburn for your burn engine you will find it here with a tutorial and video on how to set it up with Fab http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=33

Also if using DVD+R media open Fab click the little green check on the top > DVD / Blu-Ray > Write > and put a check in the set book type to DVD- ROM.

Have you also disabled your antivirus as suggested by 90312?

Give these a try and post back
