    playback

I have found that when I copy my DVD's and bad sectors are removed, I am having trouble with playback of the discs. I have been a DVDFAB user for 6 or 7 years and have only noticed this happening recently on the newer DVD discs.

Any solutions or work arounds out there?

DVD playback on PC not working

      HP G60-125NR notebook
Windows Vista Home ED recently installed the updates for operating ssy

      optical drive: A D58A2l-A ATA

      Graphics Chipset :
      NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G

      Supported Video Codecs :
      CUDA_MODE_H264
      CUDA_MODE_VC1

      CoreAVC : is detected.

      Decoder: directshow
      direct filter: DVD decoder

      optical drive: A D58A2l-A ATA

Use latest version of VLC player.

Problem started a few months ago with just very recent DVD's, now has progressed to the point where the optical has errors reading all disks, have used Yuden premium for years w/ few pobs , tried memorex, same prob. Reads for a while then shuts down, the place it stops is different on every disk.

          athenaxena,
please do yourself a favor, go to nearest store and buy optical drive lens cleaner, and clean your machine. Besides, please try this player http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/downlo...lassic-hc.html
          You will thank me later.
