    Which dvd Drive to get

Hi I'm new to this forum. My question is if anyone can give me some advice please. I use a external DVD drive, the make is a freecom. I just wanted to know if anyone can suggest a good external DVD drive. As the one I'm using is packing up bigtime thanks for your advice in advance.
:) never look down on anyone unless you're looking down at them to help them up:)

Well I would go to Newegg.com and look through their available selection of DVD Burners. You have two choices, you can either buy an external dvd burner already in an enclosure or you can buy an internal dvd burner then buy an external enclosure for it, that way you can always put it inside your computer if need be. If you have a laptop, I would probably go with one of the slimline ones. Some of them don't require extra power (like plugging it into the wall) and are very portable. Just look through all of them and read reviews. If so many people think its a good burner it most likely is. Good luck.

P.S. You should think about getting a blu ray burner. They're coming down in price. That way if you don't want to delve into the blu ray world yet you can later.

Must be !! You must burn a lot though to go through them that quick.

Stay away from slime line DVD drives as they get hot during the burn phase and will cause issues with how your DVDs are burned to blank disc. Also LG are pretty good for both DVD drives and Blu-ray drives
