Thanks Stealthrtt, the one I was looking at was far more complecated then this! Might give this a shot, and keep it on hand when my IDE burner goes out! MAINEMAN do you think this would work with the SONY OPTIARC AD-7240S-OB sata burner, in other post, said it was best for dual-layer bruning! Thats what I was really looking for!

I posted the link from newegg ^^ (my favorite retailer on the planet) as the reviews were 5 eggs and the price was right.
(maybe you got your posts mixed up?)

If you decide to purchase an adapter, be sure to check it out or be certain it was recommended.
I'm sure stealthrtt could offer some additional suggestions.
      I bought one of these a long while back...sorry I can't remember what make/model.

Still, my advice is save your pennies, but...
if you decide to go ahead with this, it's not really a question of whether this specific burner will get along well in your rig, but a question of...
will any SATA interface burner get along ok?

Translation: Will the adapter function correctly in your rig?
Answer: It should work just fine, but no one can guarantee this.

Honestly, I can't see one good reason why it wouldn't work.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
