I suggest you forget about your XBox, buy a modern media player for about a hundred bux & use MKV.h264.audiocopy for DVD's and experiment with the bitrate.

Im not against that I'm new to the whole streaming, and converting so teach me old wise one, mkv sounds great what kind of device to you recommend to buy for this stuff, Ill need to get a nas soon as I am running our of room.

Ok what media players are you talking about? I have about 7 mkv files so it would be nice to be able to watch them, cool hand luke, alice wonder land book of eli etc I used to do my blurays from Fab

So what devices do you recommend can you give me like 3, can I get them at say best buy or amazon.com?

I can't say what you have available there as I am in Australia but my current favourite is the E8HD from measy.com.cn and you may be able to find a retailer there.

I personally do not like the Western Digital TV (WDTV) stuff.
